Had to replay this mission a few times because the audio wasn’t recorded correctly and thus tried a few different tactics.

00:00 Normal tactics 33:11 More efficient

38:54 Most efficient (the cannon is needed to defend against spores, though if you are lucky you don’t need the cannon and are a tad faster, though that relies on luck..)
